 b]Abstract:[/b]\nIn this talk\, I will present recent developments in the
  study of 5d non-commutative Chern-Simons theory\, which Costello employe
 d to describe twisted M-theory in a Taub-NUT background. This theory is c
 onnected to affine Yangians and W-algebras through the structure of its o
 perators. I will first discuss my recent work\, where I derived Miura ope
 rators (which can be used to realize W-algebras) from the intersection of
  line and surface defects in 5d Chern-Simons theory. These Miura operator
 s can be shown to have an interpretation as R-matrices.  Next\, I will ex
 plore a holographic duality for 5d Chern-Simons theory\, formulated in te
 rms of a novel 4d chiral WZW model. Finally\, I will outline how twisted 
 M-theory on more general conifold backgrounds can be described as 5d Cher
 n-Simons-matter theories.
