DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Martin Plávala (University of Siegen) [nl][nl]
\nAbstract:[nl]\nWe review recent results on tensor products of th
e ordered vector spaces: we show that the tensor product is almost never
uniquely defined due to the existence of entanglement between any non-cla
ssical (non-simplical) cones\, and we present a hierarchy of convex optim
ization programs that aim to determine whether a given vector is entangle
d or not. We then apply these abstract mathematical results to two proble
ms in quantum information: semi-device independent certification of Schmi
dt rank and semi-device independent certification of number of incompatib
le measurements\, where we obtain hierarchies of outer approximation by s
emi-definite programming problems. Moreover we show that these outer appr
oximations yield bounds that are relevant for potential experimental impl
ementations. Finally we discuss other applications of the presented abstr
act hierarchies to problems in quantum information and other fields.\n[nl
