 t happens when all three stop doing their jobs\, and instead\, start work
 ing for criminals? Matthew’s mother\, Daphne Caruana Galizia was assassin
 ated while investigating a complex\, international corruption scheme stre
 tching from Azerbaijan to Panama\, but with a gas project in the EU at it
 s heart. Matthew will talk about the forensic\, political\, legal\, and j
 ournalistic effort that cracked the murder case\, and the humungous effor
 t that is now required to make sure that justice is comprehensively achie
 ved. [nl] [nl]\n\n[b]ABOUT MATTHEW CARUANA GALIZIA [/b] [nl]\nMatthew Car
 uana Galizia is the director of the Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation. He
  worked at the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICI
 J)\, developing the technology that enabled major investigations such as 
 Panama Papers and Paradise Papers. ICIJ and its partners won the Pulitzer
  Prize for explanatory reporting in 2017. In 2018\, Matthew left ICIJ to 
 continue working on the case around the killing of his mother\, Daphne Ca
 ruana Galizia\, who was assassinated in 2017 following her investigations
  into corruption in Malta. Since then\, Matthew Caruana Galizia and his f
 amily have worked tirelessly to tackle impunity and unveil the truth abou
 t Daphne’s death. [nl] [nl]\n\n[i]This lecture takes place at the DIAS au
