DESCRIPTION:What is entrepreneurialism\, and what can it reveal about cont
emporary capitalism as a historical\, political\, and social phenomenon?
Entrepreneurship is often presented as a force of innovation\, growth\, a
nd renewal\, but it is also embedded in institutions\, policies\, ideolog
ies\, and particular historical settings. This seminar explores entrepren
eurialism as part of the DIAS series on “Capitalism in the Danish Experie
nce”\, asking how entrepreneurship has shaped\, and been shaped by\, diff
erent forms of capitalism.\n\nThe event brings together three perspective
s. Christina Lubinski will address entrepreneurialism as a concept\, ideo
logy\, and historical phenomenon. Adam Frost will examine entrepreneurshi
p and capitalism in China\, drawing on his work on informal entrepreneurs
hip and economic transformation in Maoist China. Mads Bruun Ingstrup will
discuss Danish enterprise and cluster policy.\n\nEach speaker will give
a 30-minute presentation\, followed by a 30-minute panel discussion moder
ated by Paul Sharp.\n\nProgramme\n13:00–13:30 Christina Lubinski\,
