DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Muyang Liu (QM\, SDU) [nl]\nAbstract:[
nl]\nF-theory is remarked by its powerful model building potential due to
feasible geometric descriptions of string compactifications. It translat
es physics concepts in the theory concerned to mathematical objects extra
cted from the beautiful structures of elliptic fibrations. In particular\
, the resolved Calabi-Yau manifolds are determined within the framework o
f toric geometry. This gives a combinatorically simple description of the
geometry and can be algorithmized with many computer algebra programs. I
n this talk\, I will explore the searching of explicit models in the lang
uage of F-theory geometry\, ranging from those admitting exact 4D Minimal
Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) matter spectra to novel 6D (1\,0) h
eterotic theories and their T-dual network.\n[nl]
